Land of the Free because of the Brave

Land of the Free because of the Brave

We believe that there isn’t enough we, as citizens of the United States, could ever do to repay our men and women in the armed forces for what they have done, are doing, and will continue to do to ensure our freedom. That’s why, when our friend Lane from Westbound Soul  approached us on short notice about an event for wounded Veterans, we felt called to do what we could to get involved.

Some might say it wasn’t much, while some like Lane and the Veterans involved in the event thought it was just about the coolest thing anyone had ever done. We donated a box stickersbeer sleeves, and hats, including a few of our favorite styles like the Sammy, The Clayton Horns, and the Sammy Camo to an awesome event that takes place every year on the second weekend of January.

Terk Tribe is an annual event that benefits our post 9/11 Combat Veterans that are wounded, ill, or injured. A new, small group is selected each year to participate in a weekend of outdoor activities ranging from hunting & fishing to arrowhead hunting to sitting around a campfire. Led by a specialized team of guides, the veterans embark on a journey of healing and unwinding outdoors and unplugged. The mission of this event is to promote community and a spirit of giving for those who have served our country.

If you’d like to learn more about the event, or are interested in getting involved, visit the Terk Foundation website. To see highlights from the events visit the Terk Tribe Instagram.

It doesn’t take much to make a difference to these folks, who have sacrificed so much for us. So we encourage you to get involved, reach out, or simply spread the word.
